PCM Boys Track Travels to Saydel, Girls Travel to Ogden
(Both Track and Field meets canceled)
Both of PCM’s track squads will be in action tonight as the boys will travel to Saydel, while the girls’ will go up to Ogden.
The Mustangs’ boys will be looking for a higher finish in their meet. PCM placed seventh out of eight teams at Pella Christian Tuesday. The highest finish in the meet came from the Mustangs’ Sprint Medley relay team, who placed second. PCM will compete with 15 other schools, including Heart of Iowa Conference foes Saydel, Nevada, Greene County, Roland-Story, and South Hamilton.
The Mustangs’ girls will also be looking for a higher finish. PCM placed fifth out of eight teams at Pella Christian. The Mustangs had two first-place finishes including the shuttle hurdle relay and Delaney Baird in the 400 meter dash. PCM will compete with ten other teams, including the host, ADM, Ballard, Boone, Carlisle, Gilbert, Madrid, Martensdale, Perry, and Woodward-Granger.
Both meets get underway at 4:30 PM.
PCM Boys Golf Travels to Granger For Invite
PCM’s boys golf squad will get back on the course for their next meet as they will compete at Jester Park in Granger.
The Mustangs are coming off finishing sixth in their last meet at Terrace Hills in Bondurant-Farrar Monday. PCM also placed second in their first meet, a triangular at Diamond Trail in Lynnville-Sully. The Mustangs have found some stride with their top golfer, who is Grant Van Veen. Van Veen has placed first on the team in each of the team’s first two meets. PCM will compete with Coon Rapids-Bayard, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Greene County, Hampton-Dumont-Cal, Panorama, and Treynor.
The meet at Jester Park begins at 9:00 AM.
PCM Soccer Battles With Collins-Maxwell

PCM’s soccer squad will look to get back in the win column tonight as they take on Collins-Maxwell.
The Mustangs are coming off losing their first Heart of Iowa Conference match of the season to Nevada, 5-0, Tuesday. PCM currently sits at 2-2 and will be looking to go back above .500 with a victory. The Mustangs’ wins have come against Sigourney and Chariton, while they have also lost to Pella Christian.
The match at West Marshall High School gets underway at 5:00 PM.
