Pleasantville’s track and field squads competed at the Bill Miller Invitational in Van Meter and the boys placed third while the girls placed 11th.

The Trojans’ boys finished with 87 points, finishing behind just Van Meter and Des Moines Christian. Pleasantville had two first-place finishes in relay events, coming in the 4×100 meter and 4×200 meter relays. The Trojans’ girls finished ahead of ACGC, West Central Valley, Colo-Nesco, and Saydel. Pleasantville’s top finish came from Olivia Anthony, who placed fifth in discus.

Both track squads will be back in action Thursday with the girls at Baxter and the boys at Martensdale-St. Mary’s.
