Indianola girls golf, boys and girls tennis, and boys and girls track were in action for Indianola Thursday, including the girls hosting the annual Ron Werling Relays at the Indianola Stadium, placing third with 121 points.
The Indians girls track team was led by a 1st place finish by Gracie Foster in the 3000m, Emily Naughton 1st in the 800m, Grace Gioffredi 2nd in the 100m, Lauren Blake 3rd in the High Jump, Julie Coffey 2nd in the Discus, Grace Jackson 2nd in the Shot Put, Jordyn Brown 3rd in the 1500m, 4×800 Relay placed 3rd, Shuttle Hurdle Relay placed 3rd, and the 4×100 Relay placed 3rd.

The Indianola boys track and field team placed fifth at Waukee scoring 100 points. Carter Erickson placed 2nd in the 100m, Jonce Hale 2nd in the 200m, Logan Hoger placed 1st in the 3200m, Logan Piper won the 400m Hurdles, Walker Whalen placed 1st in the Discus, Gavin Legg placed 1st in the High Jump, and the 4×400 Relay placed 2nd.

Indianola girls golf placed 11th shooting a 417 at a crowded meet at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny Thursday. Camryn Overton led the squad with a 92, while Kinzey Johnston carded a 97, Amelia Moorlach a 113, and Hanna Graham a 115. Head coach Rita Doane tells KNIA Sports she is seeing years of experience and commitment paying off with the group of seniors hitting the ball really well so far this season. The Indians next hit the course Monday at Veenker Golf Course in Ames.
Indianola boys tennis made a furious rally in doubles action to secure a Little Hawkeye Conference win against Grinnell 6-5. The Indians fell behind in singles action 4-2 with wins from Lane McGraw and Sam Thessen, but won four out of the five doubles pairings to come away with the win, with the duos of Jackson Becker/McGraw, Nathan Barth/Zane Kolosik, Jake Gioffredi/Carson Graham, and Brant Gicante/Erik Jensen all winning. Indianola improves to 6-3 and remain undefeated in the conference, they match up with North Polk on the road today.
The Indianola girls tennis team dispatched Grinnell 8-3 to pick up the conference win. Hannah Price, Brynn Bishop, Audra Dowler, and Ceris Askelson all won in singles play, while the pairings of Bishop/Price, Dowler/Askelson, Ella Hildreth/Audrey Troutman, and Zoey Belt/Maren Haynes all won in doubles. The Indians are now 7-2 on the season and host Pella Christian on Tuesday.
