A wind advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. today, which will be followed up by active weather this evening. Additional storm development could result in some severe thunderstorms, mainly between 2-9pm, though this threat is conditional based on the lingering cloud cover and activity from the morning. The main severe threat on Saturday afternoon/evening will be damaging wind gusts, but large hail is possible with the initial storms that form. Although the tornado risk overall is low, a tornado cannot be ruled out. In addition, areas that experienced heavy rainfall on Friday will be at an increased risk for flooding Saturday with the already saturated soils, according to the National Weather Service.
