Weiler Products in Knoxville is expanding its facility. President and CEO of Weiler, Pat Weiler spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the project.

“We are putting on a 122,000 square foot expansion to the east of the current facility, where about a third of it will be plate cutting for processing steel. We tend to process steel here and for our facility in Georgia. We are hoping this will be up and running by December and should see things coming in visually in June with completion of the building in September, and we start moving in. The middle third of the building will be future welding, and the northside will be future assembly.”

The expansion will add an additional 100-200 jobs over several years and will provide more in-house steel manufacturing capacity, which will cut down on outsourcing of steel manufacturing.
