PCM Girls’ Golf 4th at Winterset, Boys 6th at Home

 

PCM’s girls’ golf squad traveled to Winterset and placed fourth out of five teams, while the boys placed sixth at their home invitational.

 

The Mustangs’ girls finished with a team score of 517. The low golfer for PCM was Eleigh Davis with a score of 105. Davis’ score was good enough for third place overall. Riley Johannes was second on PCM with a score of 125.

 

The Mustangs’ boys finished with a team score of 362, tied for fifth with Keota. Grant Van Veen finished with the low score for PCM with an 87. His 87 was good for ranking 12th overall. Jeffrey McDaniel finished second on the Mustangs and 18th overall with a score of 88.

 

PCM’s girls will be back in action for their home meet Thursday. The Mustangs’ boys will have their next meet Friday at Lakeview Country Club in Winterset.

 

PCM Track Has Meets Canceled, Will Be Back in Action Today

 

Both of PCM’s track and field’s squads had their meets scheduled for Monday canceled.

 

The Mustangs’ boys were scheduled to compete at Saydel and the girls were scheduled to have their home meet. Both meets were canceled due to inclement weather and teams dropping out of meets. The boys’ track squad will be in action today at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont today. The meet will also include Knoxville and Pella. The meet gets underway at 4:30 PM.

 

PCM Soccer Drops to Chariton

 

PCM’s soccer squad came out on the wrong end of the result at Chariton Monday night, 5-2.

 

The Mustangs struggled to stop Chariton’s offensive attack throughout the night. PCM’s two goals came from Tyler Kuecker. With those two goals, Kuecker eclipsed double-digit goals in a season for the first time in his career. With the loss, PCM drops to 3-4 on the season.

 

PCM will have a full week to prepare for their next match Monday at home against Heart of Iowa Conference foe Greene County.
