Pella Historical Society and Museums are hosting Dutch King’s Day festivities this Saturday.
Assistant Director Jessi Vos says daytime activities will be held for free from 9:00am-1:00pm in the Pella Historical Village, including games, crafts and activities, and sweet and savory treats available. King’s Day is free and open to the public, except for tours of the Vermeer Windmill, which are available for a fee.
King’s Day night life will feature live music by Travis Carrico, hors d’oeuvres, a special King’s Day brew from Gezellig Brewing Co. and other drinks, games and entertainment. This event will be open to 21+ only. Tickets for evening festivities will be available at the gate, or for an by purchasing tickets ahead of time here.
King’s Day is a national holiday in the Netherlands. Celebrated in late April, the date of the 27th marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander.
