Knoxville Seventh and Eighth grade students competed in the Knowledge Bowl at DMACC in Ankeny recently. The Eighth Grade team of Austin Bishop, Dominic Davis, Cooper Mattox, and Tristan Mobley finished in third place.
Tristan Mobley tells KNIA/KRLS News how the team prepared for the competition.
“We didn’t have a study list, more just general trivia questions to practice with and the more questions we practiced with the better chance we had to do well.”
Dominic Davis tells us his thoughts on the team’s performance.
“I was disappointed because I wanted to finish higher, but we did amazing, finishing third in the state is nothing to be ashamed of.”
The Seventh Grade team of Landen Clark, Jude Daniels, Payton Meyers, Aaren Staton, and Abbi Wiand also advanced to the finals. Also participating in the Knowledge Bowl were Celia Marean, Ryan Peralta, Isaac Rankin, and Zach Boender.
