Norwalk Boys Track 1st at Bondurant-Farrar, Girls Track 4th at Carlisle
Norwalk’s boys’ track and field squad placed first at Bondurant-Farrar, while the girls’ track and field squad placed fourth at the Wildcat Relays in Carlisle.
The Warriors’ boys finished with 149 team points, 8.25 points ahead of second-place ADM. Norwalk had three first-place finishes in the meet. Luke Geyer placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:05. Braeden Carlson won the Long Jump with a length of 19’6”. The Warriors’ 4×800 meter relay team of Henry Groos, Mason Johnson, Caden Stumbaugh, and Tony Anania finished with a time of 8:36.
The Warriors’ girls finished with 70 team points, four ahead of fifth-place Winterset. Norwalk had one first-place finish in their meet while most of their athletes are competing in the Drake Relays this weekend. Ashlyn Brown placed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:03.04. This marks Norwalk’s seventh consecutive top-four finish of the season.

Norwalk Girls Tennis Gets Back in Win Column Against Pella Christian
Norwalk’s girls’ tennis squad came away with another Little Hawkeye Conference victory over Pella Christian Thursday, 9-2.
The Warriors had nine match victories, including winning all six of their single matches and three of their doubles matches. Eight of their nine wins came in straight sets. The lone tiebreaker came from Kelsey Dammier in their first singles match of the night. With the win, Norwalk improves to 4-1 on the season and 3-1 in Little Hawkeye Conference play.
Norwalk’s girls tennis squad will be back in action along with the boys’ squad against Little Hawkeye Conference foe Oskaloosa. The meets begin at 4:15 PM.
Norwalk Boys Soccer Shuts Out Des Moines Lincoln
Norwalk’s boys’ soccer squad got back-to-back wins for the second time this season, defeating Des Moines Lincoln, 4-0.
The Warriors came away with four goals coming from three different players. Spencer Taylor came away with two goals. Jack Brown and Tavin Ferner each had a goal and an assist in the victory. Kegan Trebilcock and Jacob Rueber combined for the shutout. With the win, Norwalk improves to 5-7 on the season.
Norwalk will be back in action for a Little Hawkeye Conference showdown at Grinnell Tuesday.
