PCM Boys Golf Places 7th at the Panther Invitational

 

PCM’s boys’ golf squad placed seventh at the Panther Invitational at Pine Knolls Golf Course in Knoxville Saturday.

 

The Mustangs competed with three other local teams, who were Knoxville, Pella, and Pella Christian. PCM finished with a team score of 369, four strokes behind sixth-place Albia. The Mustangs’ low golfer of the meet again Grant Van Veen, with a score of 83. That score was good enough for seventh overall.

 

PCM will be back in action for their next meet Tuesday, which is the Heart of Iowa Conference meet at Lincoln Valley Golf Course, which is hosted by West Marshall.

 

PCM Girls Golf Has Home Quad

 

PCM’s girls’ golf squad will be back on the course Monday for a home quadrangular which includes two other local schools.

 

The Mustangs are coming off competing in their home meet Thursday. Eleigh Davis and Riley Johannes were the only two golfers that suited up for PCM, and both of them shot scores under 115. The Mustangs will compete with three other schools, who are Knoxville, Pella, and Saydel.

 

The meet at Gateway Recreational Golf Course in Monroe gets underway at 4:00 PM Monday.

 

PCM Track Travels to North Polk

 

PCM’s track and field squads will be back in action for their final meet before their Heart of Iowa Conference meet, which is at North Polk Monday.

 

The Mustangs are coming off competing in the Drake Relays this past weekend. PCM’s last meets before the Drake Relays were on different days. The Mustangs’ girls last competed at Chariton, while the boys are coming off competing in their home meet. PCM will be competing in the Coed Comet Invite, which will include the Heart of Iowa Conference foes Greene County, Nevada, Roland-Story, and South Hamilton.

 

The meet at North Polk High School gets underway at 4:30 PM Monday.

 

PCM Soccer Takes on Greene County

 

PCM’s soccer will be looking for their first Heart of Iowa Conference win of the season as they take on Greene County Monday.

 

The Mustangs are coming off defeating Grand View Christian Thursday, 3-1. PCM currently sits at 4-4 on the season and have already doubled their win total from the previous season. The Mustangs will be looking for their first Heart of Iowa Conference win since April 9, 2019 when they defeated Nevada. PCM will also be looking for their first win over Greene County in the Varsity Bound era.

 

The match at PCM High School gets underway at 7:00 PM Monday.
