Melcher-Dallas will be holding their Merger Days celebration on Saturday. Melcher-Dallas Lions Club member Courtney Bell spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.

“On Saturday we will start with a five-k run at 8:00 am and the Lions Club will be serving breakfast in the park under the shelter house from 8:00 am-9:30 am. The Firestation will be serving lunch from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. There will be a Melcher-Dallas historical scavenger hunt starting at 2:00 pm where people will form teams and drive around town to different landmarks or significant people that will be out.  The day will end with a parade at 5:00 pm.”

The Merger Days celebration goes back to May of 1986 when the towns of Melcher and Dallas merged. For more information go to kniakrls.com and click on this story.
