Boys tennis districts and boys golf conference highlight a busy Monday for Knoxville Sports. The boys golf squad will head to Edmundson in Oskaloosa for the South Central Conference meet. The Panthers are the overwhelming favorites but Coach Barry Smith says the guys should not discount the conference and risk slipping up right before sectionals which are on Wednesday. Tennis will host the class 1A district at the Joe Tonda Tennis Courts also on Monday. While the Panthers are not looking to qualify the team to the next round, Coach Perry Bell tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this is all about seeing how far they can advance on Monday. Golf is scheduled to tee off at 8:00 while tennis will begin at 10:00.
