Each year, the Tulip Time Steering Committee recognizes one of the many volunteers who makes the festival possible. Carol Verhey received the annual Tulip Time Volunteer Service award Friday evening during Feesthouden activities. Verhey led the Tulip Queen and Royal Court through their annual journey for 15 years, and now serves as one of the main costume makers for that group.
