After spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant coach on the East Coast, former Carthage College (Wis.) standout Laura de Rosales returns to the Midwest to be the new assistant volleyball coach at Central College.

De Rosales spent the 2021 season with Division I Merrimack College (Mass.) assisting with serve receive and defensive techniques and strategies, while earning her master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She spent the 2020-21 season at Division III Alfred University (N.Y.).

As a player at Carthage, de Rosales was the libero on the 2019 team that was an NCAA Division III semifinalist. She was second team All-Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2018 and 2019. She made her varsity debut for Carthage against Central at a season-opening tournament in 2017.

De Rosales will start her role at Central in June.
