The Knoxville Fire Department will be holding an open house on Thursday, May 19, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Knoxville Fire Department at 308 S. Third Street in Knoxville.

Battalion Chief of EMS with the Knoxville Fire Department Justin Smith spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the event.

“EMS week every year allows us to highlight EMS to the community and to our employees. This year we have some partners that we use in the area. Mercy Two helicopter will land in front of our station and join us for this. We are also going to have a pizza trailer that is new to the area and serve pizzas for a donation with all the proceeds going to the Fire Association in Knoxville.”

There will also be CPR teaching and Stop The Bleeding techniques being demonstrated.
