The Knoxville School Board on Monday approved a building project change order for the auditorium for the fire detection and alarm devices. Knoxville School District Business Manager Craig Mobley spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the change order.
“Unfortunately, after the design phase of the new project and some of the changes made at the high school, the Fire Marshall came in and reviewed the plans and designs and pointed out adjustments that are necessary. Since we have been making so many changes at the high school and with the new Middle School addition and the KPAC, there are Fire Alarm upgrades that need to be made even though the KPAC was just recently built. The changes that have to be made to the equipment for the fire alarm system will need to be completed.”
The work on the new equipment will be done this summer.
