Central College women’s soccer player Kaitlyn Isom is back home in Arizona for the summer gaining valuable experience playing with the Arizona Arsenal of the Women’s Premier Soccer League.

The WPSL is a developmental league for amateur female players including collegiate, post-collegiate and international athletes. The league has 141 teams split into four regions across the United States and Canada. The league was formed in 1998 and is the longest running active women’s soccer league.

Isom is a defender on the 30-player roster that includes players from Division I schools like Texas Tech, Washington, Boise State and North Dakota State. Isom is the only Division III player to make the team.

Isom has started 24 matches for the Dutch in two seasons, notching three goals while playing in the midfield and as a defender. She earned honorable mention accolades from the American Rivers Conference during the 2021 fall season.
