The Melcher-Dallas baseball and softball squads had a lot of fun at Moulton-Udell sweeping both invitationals. The softball saints won their games over fellow Bluegrass Conference opponents by a combined 31-1 in blasting Mormon Trail 18-0 scoring ten runs in the 1st inning. Kasyn Reed, Summer Karpan, and Brooklyn Metz all had two hits. In the second game, the Saints powered by the host Eagles 13-1 clinching the game with seven runs in the 4th inning. BrieAnna Remster struck out eight getting the win. Baseball was also having a good time winning its games by a combined 24-9. Game one the Saints defeated Mormon Trail 11-7. Cole Metz drove in four runs with one swing of the bat to power the Saints. Owen Suntken got the win striking out six in five innings. Game two was even more dominating as Melcher-Dallas drubbed Seymour 13-2. The big inning for Melcher-Dallas was the 2nd with seven runs coming across as Cayden Butrum, Logan Godfrey, Suntken, Max Enfield, and Johnny Milburn all collected RBIs in the 2nd. Godfrey also got the win on the mound. Both diamond clubs will take on Southeast Warren on Monday.
