Knoxville Fire Department’s new ambulance was placed into service recently. Knoxville Fire Department Battalion Chief Trenton Bacus spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the vehicle.
“The new ambulance is a 2022 Dodge Ram built by Arrow Ambulances. This is the fourth ambulance in our fleet and it will primarily be used for 911 responses. It has a four-wheel-drive chassis, so there will be a lot of places we can get to with it and it will be critical care level, so there will be quite a few things we can do with it. With this new vehicle, we will be able to handle more calls without needing help from other agencies and we will be able to assist other agencies as well.”
