The Indianola baseball team returns to the diamond after taking the 4th of July weekend off with a trip to Ballard tonight. The Indians are getting their final games in before postseason play begins, and take on a Ballard team that won the competitive Raccoon River Conference title and has eyes on the state tournament in class 3A. Indianola head coach Jon Fitzpatrick tells KNIA Sports these last few games are a chance for the Indians to get one last opportunity to get ready for the postseason, stay in baseball shape, and keep sharp mentally. Action starts tonight at 7:30pm.
