Communities in the area are celebrating independence day today. Thrive Knoxville has several activities and fireworks scheduled for today. Among the scheduled activities in Knoxville include

Mini golf, inflatables, and Petting Zoo till 12:00 p.m.

Craft and Vendor Fair till 12:00 p.m.

Live Music till 12:00 p.m.

Best Burger Contest at Peace Tree 

The day will conclude with fireworks at dusk at the Knoxville Airport.

The city of Bussey is also celebrating Independence Day today. A kids’ tractor pull will begin at 3:30 p.m., the crowning of the Bussey Prince and Princess will be at 6:00 p.m. and fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m.

The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio and Lil’ Big Red Radio are participating in area 4th of July parades, with non-stop patriotic music magazines returning on the Independence Day weekend and holiday for fireworks celebrations.
