An injury during practice didn’t stop a Pella High School Class of ’22 graduate from making the most of his trip to Cedar Falls for the annual Shrine Bowl this week.

Preston Rowe was awarded as one of the top fundraisers supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children after getting an invitation to the showcase of some of Iowa’s best outgoing high school football players.

An injury suffered during practice last week prevented Rowe from competing in the North-South game Saturday afternoon in the UNI Dome, but he still participated in other activities throughout the week.

The Pleasantville Dance Team was also featured as halftime entertainment, as they have been for several years.
