The top ten moments for Pella High School in 2021-2022 brings us to Fort Dodge, as it so often does, for another strong performance ffrom the Pella cross country teams on October 29th at the state meet.
While the whole team wasn’t able to make the trip, Pella’s Raegan Snieder joined elite company in program history, earning All-State honors with a 6th place finish. This was the best individual performance for the Dutch girls since 2017 and then-freshman Caroline McMartin, who placed 9th that year. That came after four-consecutive All-State appearances for Tess Roorda, which included an individual championship in 2013. It was the 8th Top-15 performance for the Pella girls since 2007.

While a mid-meet illness took them out of the top three trophy race, Pella placed 4th among the Class 3A boys. This was the Dutch boys’ program’s 13th top 6 performance in the past 15 seasons (2nd, 2nd, 1st, 6th, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 3rd, 3rd, 5th, non-qualifier, 5th, 10th, 4th, 4th).
