Counting down the top 10 moments of the Simpson College athletics year of 2021-22, continuing with number 5.
In the history of Simpson College baseball, the name Brady Held goes down as one of the best to ever do it. Held had a stellar career for the Storm, hitting a blistering .364 at the plate driving in 55 runs and only striking out 48 times in his four years, but it was pitching that etched Held’s name in the record books. Held not only holds the single-game strikeout record for the Storm against Beloit in March, but is the only player in Storm history to surpass the 200 strikeout mark as he did so in a 9-1 win over Nebraska Wesleyan in April. Held graduated after the Storm went 19-20 this season.
