Central High Jumper Brock Lewis winning the American Rivers Conference’s Field Events Most Valuable Performer at the conference championship meet on May 14th comes in at #5 on our list of the top 10 sports moments at Central College in 2021-2022. 

Lewis was also named the Field Events MVP at the league’s indoor championships in 2021. This year, he won the long jump with a mark of 23 feet, 11.5 inches and was the runner-up in the triple jump (45-7.75). Lewis also gave Central 18 of their 118.5 team points, placing the Dutch fourth in the nine-team field. Lewis is one of three Dutch male athletes to win the field event performer of the week honor. Other winners of the award were thrower Theo Baldus and heptathlete Lucas Heitz.
