Our #4 entry on the countdown of PCM’s top sports moments of the 2021-2022 school year, takes us to the Blue Oval at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, as several Mustangs competed at the State Meet May 19th-21st.

The PCM Boys 4×100 Relay team of Kaden Hale, Griffin Olson, Gavin Fenton, and Aiden Anderson brought home a 12th place finish at State with a time of :44.19. The 4×200 Relay team of Hale, Gabe Hobbs, Fenton, and Anderson came in 15th in Class 2A with a run of 1:33.67. The Mustangs had a runner in both the boys and girls 400 Meter Hurdles, with Fenton coming in 16th (:57.38) in the boys race and Delaney Baird finishing 20th (1:11.47) in the girls race. Rylee Gallaher was 17th in the Class 2A girls shot put with a throw of 34-4, while Ben Buys came in 23rd in the boys discus with a throw of 108-00. The PCM Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Gavin VanGorp, Fenton, Joel Greiner, and Olson came in 22nd (1:06.57), and the Distance Medley Relay team of Anderson, Hale, Olson, Carson Vandelune finished 23rd.
