Meredith Tipping is the High School Band Director in Knoxville. Tipping said there is approximately 75 students in the Knoxville band program this year. They have battled weather, both hot and wet this year.

Tipping told KNIA/KRLS News, “We do what we call our Parent Preview Night in the evening tonight. It’s just a way for the students to showcase everything  that they have learned throughout camp.”

The Parent Preview Night has been set for 5 pm tonight at the Randy Wilson Track. The Preview Night program is expected to last about half an hour and it will be followed by a picnic.

The program is open to the public. Drum majors have been selected to lead the band. The drum majors this year will be Norah Pearson and Madison Shimek.
