The Knoxville City Council approved the application to the Iowa Housing Trust Fund. The city of Knoxville guarantees the local match money needed for the State FY 2023 funding application for the LHTF, which is estimated to be a maximum of $107,855.
The council also approved a storefront grant funding for 102 and 106 E. Robinson for Kozy Corner. The Council approved of grants totaling $5,000 for 102 E. Robinson and another $5,000 for 106 E. Robinson.
City council also approved of the naming of the park in the East Village Development area, the site of the old East Elementary School. The new name will be East Park.
With Labor Day being Monday, September 5, the next city council meeting will be held Tuesday, September 6.
