The beginning of the Pella Christian cross country season is just ten days away, and once again the squad has a record number of participants. 

The Eagles cross country team has 40 runners currently on the roster for this season, breaking the record set just last year when the squad had 35 runners. While expectations are high for Pella Christian, nearly half of the team is new this season. Head Coach Mike Buchheit says that while some questions remain, he is excited to see his team in action.

“We’re teaching them our culture of how we do things and super excited to see these kids grow and contribute to this team and add to the culture that we’ve been able to build over the last four going on five years.”

The first chance to see the new-look Eagles in competition will be on August 25th at Marshalltown Community College in the Marshalltown Early Bird Invitational.
