The Pella City Council held a public hearing for a zoning change on Liberty Street at their meeting Tuesday evening.
An ordinance was adopted for a rezoning application at 414 Liberty Street from Institutional to Neotraditional Single-Family Residential.
The council made an award of contract for the Apron Expansion at the Pella Municipal Airport, with a bid from Pella Concrete Contractors for $778,883 approved at the August 2nd meeting. A parking ordinance was also approved to remove on-street parking in the 700 Block of Peace Street.
The council received an extensive update from Missouri River Energy Services about the overall state of the city’s power generation and ongoing operations at the Hydroelectric Power Plant at Lake Red Rock. Beggar’s Night in Pella was also officially scheduled for Monday, October 31st.
