The Iowa High School Track and Cross Country Coaches Association matches the thoughts of the Dutch coaching staff — 2022 could be special again for Pella’s distance runners.

The Dutch cross country teams were mentioned in the first preseason rankings, with the boys 3rd in Class 3A and the girls 13th. Pella Head Coach Doug Cutler believes a motivated group of both teams could exceed those rankings, but he also wants to make sure for all of the athletes that they are focused on the process in front of them, and those good things could take care of themselves.

Cutler believes the schedule they’ve put together will also challenge his experienced teams and prepare them for those lofty goals.

Pella opens the season at Cedar Rapids Prairie on Saturday, August 27th.
