After a recent run of success in Class 2A, the Mustangs were a bit disappointed with how things turned out on the gridiron in 2021. A big reason why PCM wasn’t able to soar further than their 5-5 record was an injury to August Stock in week one, after two excellent seasons to start his varsity career. Head Coach Greg Bonnett believes Stock will have an opportunity to showcase his dual threat talent and push the team to a big run this fall.
“I think August is a very special offensive player,” he says. “All of his skills and his talents have developed just fine, and he’s done an outstanding job with rehab and he’s really, really hungry to get back out there, to be with the team, and to experience that feeling of Friday night football when you’re playing again.”
Stock threw for 1069 yards and 15 TDs and ran for 429 yards and nine scores two seasons ago. PCM opens the football season this Friday at Davis County, with coverage of the Mustangs returning this fall to the KRLS3 stream.
