Excitement among the Pella Christian Volleyball team continues to build as they’re set to kick off the 2022 season on Saturday.
One reason for the Eagles anticipation to get the year started is to see the youth of the team in action. With just three seniors on the team this fall, Pella Christian will look to underclassmen of varying experience levels to step into big roles. Additionally, the Eagles are excited to compete in a non-practice setting and see how they stack up against other teams across the state. Two of Pella Christian’s three seniors Emri Agre and Anna DeBoef are looking forward to seeing how their offseason preparations will pay off and just how good this Eagles’ team can be.
Agre: “We’re just so excited. We’re pumped and ready to go. We’ve been working hard in the gym and in the weight room, so I feel like we are ready to go and ready for our first competition.”
DeBoef: “Another reason we’re more excited is because we have a young team. So, it’s kind of interesting to see like what’s our potential and so it’ll be exciting to see what happens.”
Pella Christian opens the season at the Skip Anderson Bondurant-Farrar Tournament this Saturday.
