Knoxville Skatepark ranked among the best in state

 

Young’s Park (also known as Knoxville Skatepark) was recently ranked among the 11 best skateparks in Iowa by Skate the States State Park Directory.

The park was built in 2018 by Spohn Ranch. The 9,000 square foot facility was designed with skateboarders and BMX riders in mind. The park is labeled as a great skatepark for both beginner and experienced riders.

Brandon Nemmers Park and Recreation Director in Knoxville says, “You go out to that skate park there might only be one vehicle there but it might say Polk County plates. It might be whatever county, people do drive here to skate, to bike to roller blade at that skate park.”

Hours at the park are from 6 am until 11 p.m.
