Six student-athletes from Norwalk Community High School are competing for this year’s Des Moines Lincoln Rails girls swim team, which is a shared partnership between Lincoln, Norwalk and Carlisle.

Team members from Norwalk include senior Shae Drymon, juniors Camrie Niemeyer, Margaret Osterloh and Riley Samuelson, sophomore Emma Sizemore and freshman Joy Martin.

The Rails opened the season on Tuesday, August 23, with a 110-75 dual win over Marshalltown at the Lincoln High School pool. Their next meet is a triangular at Fort Dodge on Tuesday, August 30, against Southeast Polk and Fort Dodge.

According to statistics on Varsity Bound, Sizemore had the team’s fastest times in the 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke events last season, as well as the second-fastest times in the 200 freestyle and 200 individual medley.

Drymon was clocked with Lincoln’s second-best time in the 50 freestyle and the fourth-fastest times in the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
