After being closed for a week, the Knoxville Recreation Center floor was reopened for the public to use the gymnasium again Tuesday, August 30, on day eight of the resurfacing project.

The gymnasium was closed for basketball and racquetball use. Fitness classes normally in the gym were moved outside. The cycling bikes and weight room were still in use during the process according to Brandon Nemmers, Knoxville Parks and Recreation Director.
