The Norwalk boys and girls cross country teams will return to competition today for their third meet of the season at Marshalltown Community College. The Bobcat Invitational will feature a large field of teams and is slated to get underway at 4:30 p.m.
The Norwalk boys slipped one notch to fourth in this week’s Class 4A state rankings by the Iowa Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches. The Warriors have won their first two meets of the season at Ankeny Centennial and Ames. State-ranked individuals for Norwalk include senior Donovan Card at 13th in 4A and senior Jack Brown at 26th.
The Norwalk girls harriers will be looking to build on finishes of fifth at Ankeny Centennial and ninth at Ames.
Norwalk’s girls swimmers will also be in action today, competing as members of Des Moines Lincoln in a 5:30 dual meet at Carroll.
