The postseason for area cross country athletes is rapidly approaching, and many teams and local competitors remain featured in the rankings issued weekly by the Iowa Track Coaches Association.

Among the schools featured in the top 20 of their respective classes are the Dutch boys and girls, who are #2 and #1 in Class 3A after a midseason filled with success.

Norwalk’s boys also remain a strong contender in Class 4A, as they’ve maintained a #2 ranking and figure to have an exciting showdown with Pella at the upcoming Little Hawkeye Conference championships.

Indianola’s girls have been state qualifiers for multiple seasons running, and are ranked 15th in 4A.

The Pella Christian boys have been featured among 2A’s best, and were 10th in the latest poll.
