The Indianola City Council meets in a special and regular session this evening, and will include the swearing-in ceremony for new Indianola Police Department Chief Brian Sher.

Before the regular session begins, the council will meet in a special study session to discuss communication and upcoming agenda items in the agenda later in the evening.

After the work session at 7pm, the council will consider a public hearing date for a budget amendment for October 17th and administrative steps for Capital Loan Notes for the Industrial Park Improvements Project. The council will also consider authorizing the City Attorney to petition for title to abandoned property at 701 West Boston Avenue, and a resolution authorizing Mayor Stephanie Erickson to execute a Subaward Agreement Contract by and between Indianola Hometown Pride and Warren County before going into closed session to discuss the purchase or sale of real estate.

The work session meeting begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall.
