Both Cross Country and Volleyball will be in action for Knoxville and both will be dealing with Centerville in one way or another. The Cross Country Squads will head to Centerville for a meet. The Panthers have had the last week off since participating in its own invitational last Tuesday where the boys finished in 6th place. Freshman Runner Isaac Rankin has been impressive all season and claimed 2nd overall last week. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he knows to run at a smart pace to be in contention by the end.

Rankin: “I’ve always been one of the guys that have started a little slower and then gained speed throughout. Today I started I think 12th and climbed from there.”

The girls were 5th overall last week in Knoxville. First races are scheduled to be at 5:00 in Centerville. While Cross Country is running at Centerville, the volleyball Squad will be hosting the Redettes for senior night tonight. The Panthers have been on a roll lately winning six of their last seven matches, which has vaulted them back into the class 4A rankings at #14. A win tonight would also allow the Panthers to finish no worse than 2nd in the South Central Conference. First serve is scheduled for 7:15.
