The Des Moines Lincoln girls swim team, which includes seven Norwalk athletes, will be traveling to Fort Dodge High School for their regional meet on Saturday, November 5, after the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released postseason assignments last Friday.

Norwalk swimmers competing for Lincoln include senior Shae Drymon, juniors Camrie Niemeyer, Margaret Osterloh and Riley Samuelson, sophomore Emma Sizemore and freshmen Joy Martin and Addie Smith.

Drymon and Sizemore have been standout performers for the Rails this fall and both won four events at last Tuesday’s city meet between Des Moines Lincoln, Hoover and East.

Drymon placed first in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.12 seconds and won the 100 free in 58.38. Sizemore claimed gold in both the 200 free (2:07.91) and the 100 butterfly (1:09.21). Both Norwalk girls also swam a leg of the Rails’ first-place 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

At the junior varsity level, Osterloh won the 100 backstroke, Samuelson won the 100 free and Smith won the 50 free.
