The general election is coming up. Absentee ballot requests to be mailed are currently being accepted. Absentee voting at the Marion County Auditor’s Office is currently underway. Hours the Auditor’s Office is open are 8 a.m.until 4:30 p.m, Monday through Friday. An ID is required to participate.

The voter pre-registration deadline is Monday, October 24th. The deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot is Monday. The last day to vote by absentee ballot at the Auditor’s Office is Monday, November 7th.

If returning an absentee ballot by mail, the absentee ballot must be postmarked no later than November 7th and received in the Marion County Auditor’s Office by 8:00 p.m. November 8th. The deadline for absentee ballots returned in person is 8 p.m. at the Marion County Auditor’s Office at 214 East Main Street in Knoxville.

The Auditor’s Office will be open for in person voting Saturday, November 5th from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Election Day is November 8th with polls open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. and you need a valid ID to vote.
