The Indianola Downtown Square Reconstruction Project is nearing completion, and the City of Indianola and the Indianola Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a ribbon cutting event this afternoon.
This event will celebrate the conclusion of all street side construction within the Indianola
Downtown Square, and will celebrate the completion of the project which began in 2018 after the City of Indianola partnered with the Indianola Chamber of Commerce and the Warren County Economic Development Council to have the Iowa Economic Development Authority
conduct a Downtown Assessment on Indianola’s Downtown Square.
The Assessment Visit recommended the City of Indianola focus on six key areas, one of which was to look at the Downtown Square’s infrastructure and identify improvements that could be made during the construction of Warren County’s Justice Center, which was opened to the public on July 1st.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 3 PM in the intersection of North Buxton Street and West Ashland Avenue.
