The Knoxville Area Merchants and Thrive Knoxville are bringing to town Living Windows Christmas Around the World Thursday, November 17th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Knoxville.

The event slate for the night, are being able to donate items to be sent to soldiers overseas, a ceremonial tree lighting event, the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, a snowball drop and businesses being open late so you can get a start on shopping for the holiday.

Katrina Nelson, a member of Thrive Knoxville reports that the tree being lit this year on the Knoxville square is a new tree. The tree will be lit November 17th. Those involved with the snowball drop are still looking for donations and prizes will be available to be won.

Santa and Mrs.Claus will be located at the empty lot on Third Street by Gibson Jewelry. Listen to KNIA/KRLS News for more on the event.
