The #4 Indianola volleyball team qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2014, and will match up with #5 Western Dubuque in the quarterfinal round Monday. The Indians come in with one of the toughest schedules for class 4A opponents, and coach Kent Halstead they are one of the most dangerous teams to face because they have multiple ways they can beat you with multiple different players.
“I don’t care who’s in the front row for us, and I’ve coached a lot of teams that I know who’s in the front row because I know I don’t want them to go to the back row. With this team, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter because we have five good hitters all the way around, everyone can do it.”
The quarterfinal matchup will be at Xtream Arena in Coralville, and will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA. Pregame coverage begins at 5:45pm, with first serve scheduled for 6.
