The Knoxville School Board approved the purchase of new high school bleacher motors that move the bleachers in and out. The approval came at the last school board meeting in October.

Craig Mobley, Knoxville Business Manager, tells KNIA/KRLS News why they need replaced, “Our high school gym bleachers are 20 plus years old and some of those parts don’t last forever,so all that is the motors that run the telescoping bleachers in and out just need to be replaced.”

Riser Inc., was approved by the board to do the work, which will cost close to $20,000. The work is not expected to be done prior to the start of the winter sports season.
