When she finishes out her athletic career this summer, Twin Cedars’ Rylee Dunkin will undoubtedly be considered one of the greatest athletes to ever wear blue and white. She added another feather in her cap by being named one of two winners in Iowa for the Heisman High School Scholarship. Dunkin will receive a $1,000 scholarship and be eligible for the National High School Heisman to be announced on November 30th where the winner will get a $10,000 scholarship. Dunkin just completed a decorated cross country career last week by running in her fourth State Meet getting all-state three of those seasons. She also helped the Sabers to a class 1A State Softball Championship in July and is also one of the leaders on the volleyball and girls basketball squads and is a multi-time state qualifier in track and field. The Heisman High School Scholarship recognizes the nation’s most accomplished community minded high school senior athletes. National finalists will be announced on Monday and the National Winners will be announced November 30th.
