The Simpson football team is fresh off of their first win of the season last week over Nebraska Wesleyan, and will now have to go up against the Knights of Wartburg in order to build a winning streak. The American Rivers Conference leading Wartburg Knights have gone unbeaten in conference play and are 8-0 to start the season, and feature one of the top defenses in the nation. The Knights have given up more than seven points just once this season, and have pitched a shutout against four of their conference opponents this season and gave up only three points to Loras, while the Storm are fresh off of a 74-point performance against Nebraska Wesleyan. Head coach Matt Jeter tells KNIA Sports they can’t focus on the previous scores, they have to keep doing what they did on the field last week and focus on the Storm heading into a tough matchup.
