The Indianola City Council held a work session before their regular meeting last week, which included hearing the yearly report from the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News it was a standout year for the facility, which saw usage going up from previous years.

“The usage and utilization not only from Indianola but the surrounding area went up. It was voted as one of the very best aquatic facilities in the region, and we were able to stay open when a lot of other facilities were unable to do so. A lot of credit and accolades go to our recreation staff and all those who supported it and the programs that went on this past year.”
