The Knoxville Food Youth Initiative (KFYI), represented by Verlyn Goodyk, presented Miss Mary Strawberry (Mary Hanna) a check for $2,000 for children’s meals during the summer months. The presentation took place at the school board meeting Monday.

Over 50,000 meals were distributed to children in the Knoxville School District during the summer months, according to Knoxville Superintendent Cassi Pearson.
